Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Full-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records. This role involves managing the accounts for clients in the logistics or freight forwarding industry. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that financial processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities – Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy in income, expenses, and cash flow.
– Process vendor invoices, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
– Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
– Generate and review financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
– Collaborate with external accountant and implement internal financial controls.
– Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and tax returns.
Essential Requirements – Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience, preferably within the logistics industry.
– Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and Microsoft Excel.
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
– Knowledge of UK tax regulations and logistics-related financial standards.
